About Hearth

Hearth is a calm, private space for everyday inner work. An AI guide helps you meet the parts of you that run your reactions, your moods, and your choices, and start building a different relationship with them.

Why Hearth exists

Most of the things people struggle with, the anxious voice, the inner critic, the part that goes numb or shuts down, are not problems to be solved. They are parts of a person doing their best with what they know.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a model that takes that idea seriously. It says every part of you originally came into being to try to help. The inner critic is protecting you from failure. The anxious one is scanning for danger on your behalf. The part that disappears is shielding you from something overwhelming.

When you approach these parts with curiosity instead of combat, something shifts. They do not need to run so loud. The inner world gets a little quieter, a little more spacious. That shift is what Hearth is for.

What the app does

Hearth is a guided conversation. You talk or type, and the AI guide follows your words, asks simple questions, and helps you stay with what is actually present rather than jumping to solutions or reassurance.

The guide is designed to:

Sessions are short. Five to ten minutes is enough. The work is cumulative: each check-in builds on the last, and parts that have been heard start to trust that you will keep coming back.

Who built it

Hearth was built by Salman, an IFS-informed guide who trained through the IFS Online Circle and worked under a senior IFS practitioner. He is not a licensed clinical therapist. The app is not a clinical tool and makes no claim to be one.

The work started from a personal observation: the gap between having access to IFS and actually doing it every day is large. Therapy is weekly. Life is daily. Hearth is built to fill that gap, not to replace what a therapist does.

What Hearth is not

Not therapy. Hearth is a general wellness and self-reflection tool. It is not a licensed mental health service, and it is not a substitute for working with a qualified therapist, especially for trauma, clinical diagnoses, or acute mental health concerns.

Not affiliated with the IFS Institute. Hearth is informed by the Internal Family Systems model developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by the IFS Institute or Richard Schwartz. IFS is a registered trademark of the IFS Institute.

Not for crisis. If you are in acute crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to local emergency services or a crisis line right now. Hearth will always point you toward immediate human support if you are in that place.

Privacy

Your reflections, parts, journal entries, and conversations stay on your device. Hearth does not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use your sessions for training. Your inner work is yours.

Full details are in the Privacy Notice.

Languages

Hearth is available in English, Finnish, and Swedish. The guide can hold a conversation in all three and switches naturally when you do.
